Artist, Educator, & Entrepreneur, Stacy Richardson, was born in Los Angeles, California in 1974.
She began her artistic career as the Art Project Coordinator and Graphic Designer at the Graphics & Photography Studio for Tyler Junior College, where she also received her Associate’s degrees in Fine Arts & Music Performance, along with her Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician Certification. She had won several prestigious scholarships for continuing her education, including full scholarships from Pratt University in New York, and Savanna College of Art and Design in Georgia, but she chose to stay in Texas, transferring to Dallas Baptist
University and then later to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh to continue her quest for her Bachelors’ degree in Graphic Design.
She was known throughout Central Texas for her list of artistic skills - using her time, talents, and resources to provide for her community in various creative ways. She's utilized her traditional art skills for 6 years as an Airbrush Lead Technician and Trainer for Laerdal Medical in Gatesville, Texas, designing and painting life-like props and manikins for medical training. She soon became the founder and co-owner of Tennison Graphics & Fine Art, a print & design studio in Gatesville, which supported the North Fort Hood/Gatesville area, Temple, Killeen, & Evant communities for 15 years. While homing in her skills and style in graphics, Stacy explored techniques in sign painting, murals art, airbrushing, photography, face/body painting, printmaking/screen printing, as well as theatre/cosplay costume designing. These skills were her bread and butter even after closing the doors of TGFA in 2016.
Stacy returned to her childhood home in Palestine, Texas in 2019 to spearhead her return into the graphic field. She founded Pen Brush Mouse Creations, a collaborative design firm geared to aid in visually enhancing small businesses. During the pandemic, she connected with her cousin, George Linicomn, Jr., to kickstart Linicomn Richardson Fine Arts, an online fine arts gallery that now hosts hundreds of creators from around the world.
Stacy is also a budding novelist and ghostwriter. She's assisted a few professional writers in her time under the name Upsidedown Words, but her joy is in assisting young writers in reaching publishing success through online sites like Webtoon, Wattpad, and Amazon’s CreateSpace. In 2022, Mrs. Richardson received her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University.
