Cubism / Constructivism painter


HIs grandfather and uncle were noted painters in Kharkov, Ukraine, was 12 when he entered Repin Art School for gifted children where he received a traditional knowledge of drawing, painting and composition.

After receiving equivalent to the Master’s degree in Education, Arts and Science at Kharkov University and Art Institute, Shoshensky learned to respect the two – dimensionality of the painted surface from Russian icons, the modelling importance of colour from Cezanne, the power of colour from Fauves and the liberation of form from Cubism and Russian Constructivism. Since coming to the United States with its environment of free expression, Shoshensky’s work shows a range of new directions. His paintings are in many prestigious Art Collections throughout the United States & Europe.
